Prepare your devices for remote learning and working. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. When my macbook is awoken from standby the trackpad moves the cursor around as normal but will not respond to a tap or a click. A restart won't get it working again, but a little later it will start working once more. At the moment I can't identify what gets it going, possibly by clicking using the magic mouse but can't be certain of that.
Any ideas? Others seem to report erratic behaviour, but the problems seem slightly more mechanical due to oversensity of the trackpad or the trackpad not working at all.Abstract on laundry management system

My colleagues can connect to the same remote machines without any problems at all. I experience the similar issue. Mouse clicks work for a while after connection established then stop working. Both computers are running v My computer is runnning Windows 8. I am guessing that this "solution" might not work for everyone, and that even if it works, it's not acceptable for everyone, but perhaps it may help someone :.
My machine is not restarted very often and I found that after a reboot the problem is no longer presenting. Bit of a cop out to say turn it off and on again and not doubt others have already done this but worked for me - no problems since. Thanks, I'm rushing to pack and catch a flight I was growing hair inbetween my toes. That fixed it. I had this problem with TeamViewer 13, and I discovered that it was caused by an USB mouse connected to the target computer.
Once I removed the mouse from the USB port, mouse clicks, and overall mouse responsiveness greatly improved. Removing the USB mouse on the remote computer is not an option for me. Any other solutions other than a reboot? A reboot does fix the problem but only for a limited number of connections. I also am using Version 13 with the latest updates on both local and remote. Synergy, similar program, also causing same issue. When during remote session cursor reaches left side of the screen InputDirector moves cursor to "slave" computer, but TeamViewer is not aware of that, it shows cursor as if never left the screen, so any clicks and keyboard presses are actually being routed to the "slave" computer instead.
This began happening to me right after I started receiveing popup messages about TeamViewer suspecting that I'm using their app for commercial purposes. The suggested fixes in this thread have not worked.

Your device isn't recognized by your Mac Follow these steps if your mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't recognized by your Mac.Usually there is no mechanical failure going on, but in some cases a MacBook bulging battery can push up against the trackpad mechanism and prevent clicking. Additionally, a damaged mouse or trackpad may also refuse to register a click, particularly if a Mac had water contact that seeped into the tracking area, or if a mouse took a dive into a swimming pool or got run over by a car.
This is surprisingly common, particularly for Mac users who use multiple tracking devices, or for MacBook users who carry and use a separate external Bluetooth mouse and who carry the computer around in a backpack or laptop back, where the mouse or trackpad may have become activated and is pressed against something else in the tote, thereby causing a refusal of Mac OS X to register and acknowledge other clicks.
An easy way to figure out if this is the cause is to temporarily disable Bluetooth. If suddenly the mouse or trackpad click starts working again, you have found your problem. If the click failure is occurring on a MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro then often rebooting and putting the Mac to sleep and then waking it up again after a few minutes seems to resolve the issue:.
Another solution if all else fails is to enable Tap To Click on the trackpadwhich allows you to simply tap a finger rather than press down to initiate a click, a feature that exists on the Mac and is popular with Windows laptops. If so, did the tips above resolve it for you as well?
